Look Who's One! Awesome Duck and Bubble Cake Smash Session!

It’s been a little while since I’ve gotten to write and share about a milestone session, what better way than to share about a fun cake smash! This was a custom design set up and photographed at my studio in Milford, DE.

I met this little guy when he was a newborn and before we knew it, it was time to schedule his first birthday photos. The theme was rubber duckies due to a fun nickname given to this little guy. Mom & I discussed not only the theme but also colors for a balloon garland which were different shades of blue along with white and clear balloons to mimic bubbles. 

I started the set up the day before to make sure everything was color coordinated and placed correctly. It takes hours to make sure that things are correct and of course, secure because let’s face it, kids love to touch things. Haha. 

The day of session was fun and happy! This little guy came in, smiled and conquered his cake just fine. We ended up with some photos in this cute little tub prop I have, which he loved. Instead of water, we just used some fake plastic bubbles. Perfect!
